This Weekend / June 14-16

Friday, June 14

Klara had the day off from school so we went to our bucket list and the kiddos chose to have a ‘pancakes and pajamas’ day.

I let them make their OWN pancakes which was the most fun for them. If I’m honest, so often I find myself trying to avoid a messy kitchen, but not lately. I have been ALL FOR a mess when it means these kiddos are making memories with their mama that they will remember forever.

We had chocolate chip, peanut butter, blueberry, and original pancakes with the choice of maple, blueberry, or raspberry syrup.

I had blueberry pancakes with blueberry syrup and a fancy vanilla iced coffee with whipped cream and caramel drizzle.

The rest of the day was spent getting everyone ready and packed up. The kids spent the night with their Mema and Dinky and Jordan and I went out to dinner. I am so blessed to spend every minute I have with my babies, but I LOVE the occasional date nights with my husband.

We ate at Longhorn Steakhouse and my steak was soooo good.

We went to TCBY for dessert. Jordan had cookie dough ice cream and I had a banana split.

Saturday, June 15

Jordan and I went out for breakfast and coffee before we picked the kids up for Koby’s baseball game.

Koby’s game was at 9:30 and we were probably the proudest parents in the stands.

Early morning games don’t stop Klara from going to the concession stand.

Kylan, our 11 year old, is a ‘buddy’ to some of Koby’s teammates, meaning because the team is special needs, he helps players run bases or helps them in the outfield. As parents, we couldn’t be more proud of our boys.

We stopped by a few yard sales after Koby’s game.

I had an appointment to get my eyebrows waxed at 2pm and Klara loves to tag along. It’s the most beautiful salon I have ever been to and the staff is phenomenal. If you’re ever in the area, visit Merle Norman & Salon on Piedmont Avenue.

It was such a beautiful day so Jordan grilled chicken and corn cobs for dinner. There’s just something about the summer weather, sitting outside on the patio and watching your hubby grill.

Sunday, June 16

This was my week to teach Sunday school at church, but Klara woke up with a bad cough accompanied by a fever so I stayed home with her.

I went grocery shopping for the week. Below is this weeks grocery haul. A few items didn’t fit into the picture- chicken, hamburger meat, tortillas, eggs, and all of our frozen items.

I needed a mid day pick me up and still had money on a Starbucks gift card from my coworkers when I left my job back in April.

We celebrated Jordan for Father’s Day and made a new meal for dinner that he chose for his special day- one pot chili mac and cheese.

I have so much laundry to do, but I’m excited to be starting a new week. I have been considering starting a vlog and have been looking into it a lot lately. This week I have a meeting, Koby has a baseball game, and we have such a fun bucket list to keep us busy.

I hope you enjoy your week!
