Blogtober / Country Thunder

This post isn’t exactly fall related, but it was so much fun that I want to share it with you because it’s how Jordan and I spent the first day of October.

On September 30th and October 1st Country Thunder came to Tennessee. I had been looking forward to it for months! If you aren’t familiar with Country Thunder, it’s a music festival that hosts several concerts over a few days. I’ve seen some Country Thunder festivals last for 3 days, but the one we attended took place on Friday and Saturday.

On Friday night we saw Kameron Marlowe, Clay Walker, and Jason Aldean. Unfortunately, the weather was horrible because of Hurricane Ian. There was a steady rain from the minute we arrived at 4 o’clock and by 9 o’clock that night it was pouring rain. The winds were so cold and the high was only 49 degrees. Even though we had on several layers of clothes and waterproof jackets, we were still miserable.

Saturday was a blast! The lineup was incredible and the rain held off. It was overcast and still chilly, especially after dark, but we went prepared. I had on 3 shirts, a coat, and a poncho. We took a warm blanket and packs of Hot Hands. We saw Tracy Lawrence, Lauren Alaina, Hardy, and Morgan Wallen. All of them were so amazing, but I have the biggest crush on Morgan Wallen so he was my favorite performer all weekend.

I’m already counting down the days until Country Thunder next year! Who is the best performer you’ve seen in concert?
