Spring Break Vacation

For spring break this week we booked a place to stay in Sevierville, Tennessee. Check in wasn’t until 4 o’clock, so we decided to leave early that morning and spent the day in Gatlinburg.

We went to Pancake Pantry for brunch as soon as we got there.

After we ate we walked up and down the main strip, done some shopping, and went to some Ripley’s attractions.

Around 3 o’clock we got funnel cakes and foot long corn dogs.

If you’re ever in the area, you can’t pass up the Moonshine Mountain Coaster. It was our absolute favorite thing from our whole trip. We paid full price, but if you wanted to ride a second time it was only $8. My husband and I loved it just as much as our kiddos!

The kids asked to go swimming as soon as we checked into our room.

We eat dinner around 4 o’clock at home, but on vacation we ate much later. It was after 8 o’clock when we got to the restaurant for dinner our first night there. The kids loved being out “so late”.

That night we ate at Holston’s Kitchen. Koby got spaghetti, Klara got chicken tenders, Kylan ordered their club sandwich, and me and Jordan had their fajitas. Service wasn’t great, food was mediocre, but sitting around that table with my absolute favorite people, letting them all have soda at 9 p.m. made it the most perfect night.

After dinner we went to Ripley’s Mini Golf. It has always been my favorite mini golf course so I was excited to take our kiddos. One of my favorite things about visiting the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge area is that there’s so many ways so save money. I have a lot of tips that I’ll share in an upcoming blog. Where we went to other Ripley’s attractions earlier that day, we saved our tickets that had $3 off coupons of another Ripley’s attraction printed on the back, so our family of 5 got 75% off of the mini golf.

When we got back to our room we made some popcorn and watched a movie.

The next day we went to Tanger Outlets.

We started to get hungry after a few hours of shopping so we stopped by Auntie Anne’s for pretzels and lemonade.

When we got back to the room we went swimming before we went out to dinner.

For dinner we went to Hard Rock Cafe. Service was excellent and the food was delicious. 10/10 recommend.

For dessert we went to The Yard Milkshake Bar.

One of my favorite memories from this trip was Klara walking down to breakfast in her pajamas and slippers, with messy hair and swollen eyes.

On our last day we checked out of our room at 11 and spent the day at the NASCAR Speedpark. We got wristbands that gave us access to all of their go kart tracks and rides all day. It was worth every penny! We spent more than 5 hours there and could have easily stayed longer.

It was a week of fun with my favorite people. A little getaway is always a reset for us. It helps to fill our cups, brings us closer together, away from our devices and the best part? These are memories our kids will have forever. I am so blessed to be their mama.

Have you visited Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or Sevierville? If so, what are some of your favorite things to do?
