February and March 2022

Happy April. April has always been one of my favorite months. Not only is it my birthday month, but I love the warmer weather, Easter, and the fun end of the year things we do in Pre-K. Our spring break is in April this year, too! Today I’m playing catch up on the things we’ve been up to the past few months.

Holidays are so special once you have kids. Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays. Each year I make the kids special pancakes and they open their valentines.

This year I bought a couple pieces of new decor from Target and Hobby Lobby.

In one of my last posts I mentioned that Kylan was moved up to the JV basketball team. I am so happy he finished out the season with them. I feel like he learned so much from his teammates, his coach, and by playing with older kids. Their team went undefeated in District play!

Kylan had to have oral surgery. It was an easy procedure and he recovered quickly.

Ranger and Lola are still my favorite doggies on the planet.

The boys celebrated another birthday!

I couldn’t ask for two better boys. They’re so incredible. Both of them have made the all A honor roll at school and Kylan made the Beta Club. He enjoys getting his community service hours because he genuinely loves helping people and making kids happy. When he told me he thinks God’s calling for his life is to go into some kind of pediatric medical field, I couldn’t have been more proud. This photo was taken when he attended a special needs bowling event and helped kiddos bowl.

Both of our boys deserve the world. To celebrate Koby, I took him to a local gaming place that he’s been wanting to go to ever since they opened. They have retro gaming that he loves and gaming PC’s with any game imaginable. My husband and I don’t know much about gaming PC’s so we can’t have a lot of back and forth conversation about it. We’re always asking questions and trying to learn more, but once Koby started talking to the owner, he was so excited that he could carry on a conversation with him about his favorite games, gaming devices, and coding. His smile lit up the room.

To celebrate Kylan, we took him and his friend to Radford University to watch our boys varsity basketball team play in state. Before the game we went to Mac and Bob’s for dinner. Kylan got their calzone, Jordan got the stir-fry bowl, I got chicken tenders, and Kylan’s friend got their cheeseburger. The fries dipped in their ranch dressing was to die for.

I say it a lot, but Pre-K is so much fun. I love this part of the school year when we move on to learning last names, lowercase letters, and letter sounds.

On March 12 we had some snow and Klara was on a mission to make as many snow balls as she could.

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, I made the kids green lunches for school. We woke up that morning and the leprechaun had made a mess. Klara’s trap wasn’t able to catch him, he’s just too sneaky, but he DID snatch up the gold coins we had put out and left us gold candy. Beside our trap he had left cute shamrock hair clips and shamrock earrings for Klara and he left the boys Skittles. He even left the kids Lucky Charms for breakfast and turned our milk and toilet water green!

Kylan decided to play soccer this spring and he’s loving it. One of my new favorite things is going through the Chick-fil-a drive through with Jordan and taking our food to the soccer field. We sit in the car and eat as we watch our boy practice.

Do you have any fun things planned for April?
