Summer Bucket List: Week Two

Day 8: Cookie Night

Homemade peanut butter cookies are our go-to sweet treat, but our kids LOVE cookie dough. When I came across these “safe to eat” packs of cookie dough, I knew the kids would love it.

Day 9: Klara Day

When we were putting together our summer bucket list a few months ago, all three kids asked to have their own special day. Our sweet Klara had been looking forward to her day for so long! She wanted to start the day off with shopping at Target and asked to stop by Starbucks for a frappuccino and her favorite cake pop. We made a cheesecake and had a spa night. Spa night consisted of face masks, manis and pedis, candles, massages, chocolate covered strawberries, fancy drinks, and calming music.

Day 10: Backwards Day

When the kids woke up, I told them to go get dressed and to put their clothes on backwards. Minds were blown when I said, “Now, go get some ice cream for breakfast!” We had ice cream for breakfast and cereal for dinner. Something so simple (and FREE!) turned out to be one of their favorite things on our bucket list.

Day 11: Ice Cream Sundaes

The kids had so much fun putting together their ice cream sundaes with their favorite fixin’s.

Day 12: Kylan Day

Shopping at the mall with the coolest teenager I know, eating from the food court, and getting Great American Cookies was so much fun.

Day 13: Koby Day

Koby was overwhelmed trying to decide what to do on his day. The night before we had planned out his day so he knew what to expect- we were going to an arcade and out for milkshakes. When he woke up that morning, he had changed his mind. Instead, he asked for cookie dough for breakfast, to go shopping, out for lunch, and to go to Sonic for a cookie dough blast. All throughout the day he kept saying, “This is the best day!”

Day 14: Krispy Kreme and Card Games

I didn’t take as many pictures as I had hoped, but this was a lot of fun! Kylan and Klara love card games, but Koby was only in it for the doughnuts. Kylan’s favorite card game is Uno and Klara loves Old Maid, Go Fish, and Crazy 8’s.

We have been having such a fun summer. I love that I’m spending my days doing fun things with our kids and not wasting a minute of our summer together. What are some of your favorite summer activities?
