Friday Favorites: Favorite Worship Songs

I am so glad it’s Friday! We started our summer school program this week, so I only work Monday through Thursday. It’s been so nice to be home, sleeping in, making breakfast with the kids, and getting some things done around the house.

This morning I woke up at 7:30 and Kylan made oatmeal while I made toast and bacon. I got a few loads of laundry done, got all of the dishes loaded into the dishwasher, vacuumed the living room and all of our living room furniture, placed our grocery order for next week, and talked my husband into picking up Chicken Salad Chick for dinner tonight.

While I’m busy doing things around the house, I LOVE listening to my worship playlist on YouTube. Knowing that I can listen to my favorite songs while I check things off my to-do list really motivates me. I woke up this morning with a particular song on my mind so I wanted to listen to it while I made the kids lunch. I listened to it over and over again, probably 6 or 7 times total, and right in the middle of our kitchen I found myself with my arms raised high and tears falling from my face as I sang every word. Sometimes I’m brought to my knees, sometimes I’m dancing, sometimes I just sob. Isn’t worshiping such a beautiful thing?

As I repeated the verses to the song over and over again I thought to myself, “I wish I could share every song on this playlist with everyone.” For Friday Favorites today, I’m going to share a few of my absolute favorite songs with you. I encourage you to read through and meditate on the lyrics.

Never Lost by Ramp Worship

He is my faithful father
Calling me out of the dark
Night cannot whisper away what He said in the light

He is my firm foundation
My anchor won’t be moved
Storms may collide but my soul is on fire with His word

Wind listen to the sound
Of power on my lips
Jesus has broken the curse
He has never lost a battle

He is my faithful father
Calling me out of the dark
Night cannot whisper away what He said in the light

He is my firm foundation
My anchor won’t be moved
Storms may collide but my soul is on fire with His word

Wind listen to the sound
Of power on my lips
Jesus has broken the curse
He has never lost a battle

Who are you great mountain
That you should not bow low?
Jesus defeated the darkness
He has never lost a battle

God of Revival by Bethel Music

We see what you can do, oh God of wonders
Your power has no end
The things You’ve done before in greater measure
You will do again

Cause there’s no prison wall You can’t break through
No mountain You can’t move, all things are possible
There’s no broken body You can’t raise, No soul that You can’t save, all things are possible

The darkest night, You can light it up
You can light it up, oh God of revival
Let hope arise, death is overcome
You’ve already won, oh God of revival

You rose in victory and now You’re seated
Forever on the throne
So why should my heart fear what You’ve defeated
I will trust in You alone

Cause there’s no prison wall You can’t break through, no
No mountain You can’t move, all things are possible
There’s no broken body You can’t raise, No soul that You can’t save, all things are possible

The darkest night, You can light it up
You can light it up, oh God of revival
Let hope arise, death is overcome
You’ve already won, oh God of revival
God of revival

Come awaken Your people, come awaken Your city
Oh God of revival, pour it out, pour it out
Every stronghold will crumble, I hear the chains hit the ground
Oh God of revival, pour it out, pour it out

The darkest night, You can light it up
You can light it up, oh God of revival
Let hope arise, death is overcome
You’ve already won, God of revival
Oh God of revival

Such An Awesome God by Maverick City Music

You call the sun to rise
And You lay it down to rest
You hold this heart of mine
You hold my every breath

Such an awesome God
So mighty
So holy
So wonderful
Such an awesome God
So selfless
So generous
So faithful You are

Seated in majesty
Reigning in holiness
The table is set for me
For You are the living bread

Such an awesome God
So mighty
So holy
So wonderful
Such an awesome God
So selfless
So generous
So faithful You are

Nothing comes close to the Lord Almighty
Nothing as sweet as His love and mercy
Nothing comes close to the Lord Almighty
And nothing as sweet as Your love and mercy

Jesus the son of God
Hung on a cross to die
But not even death itself
Could hold You down, You rose to life

Such an awesome God
So mighty
So holy
So wonderful
Such an awesome God
So selfless
Oh so generous (so generous)
So faithful (so faithful, You are)

Rattle by Elevation Worship

Saturday was silent
Surely it was through
But since when has impossible
Ever stopped You
Friday’s disappointment
Is Sunday’s empty tomb
Since when has impossible
Ever stopped You

This is the sound of dry bones rattling
This is the praise make a dead man walk again
Open the grave, I’m coming out
I’m gonna live, gonna live again
This is the sound of dry bones rattling

Pentecostal fire stirring something new
You’re not gonna run out of miracles anytime soon
Resurrection power runs in my veins too
I believe there’s another miracle here in this room

This is the sound of dry bones rattling
This is the praise make a dead man walk again
Open the grave, I’m coming out
I’m gonna live, gonna live again
This is the sound of dry bones rattling
Do you hear it?
Do you hear it?
Do you hear it?

My God is able to save and deliver and heal
And restore anything that He wants to
Just ask the man who was thrown
On the bones of Elisha
If there’s anything that He can’t do
Just ask the stone that was rolled
At the tomb in the garden
What happens when God says to move

I feel Him moving it now
I feel Him doing it now
I feel Him doing it now
Do it now, do it now

Evidence by Josh Baldwin

All throughout my history
Your faithfulness has walked beside me
The winter storms made way for spring
In every season, from where I’m standing

I see the evidence of Your goodness
All over my life, all over my life
I see Your promises in fulfillment
All over my life, all over my life

Help me remember when I’m weak
Fear may come but fear will leave
You lead my heart to victory
You are my strength and You always will be

I see the evidence of Your goodness
All over my life, all over my life
I see Your promises in fulfillment
All over my life, all over my life

See the cross, the empty grave
The evidence is endless
All my sin rolled away
Because of You, oh Jesus
See the cross, the empty grave
The evidence is endless
All my sin rolled away
Because of You, oh Jesus

I see the evidence of Your goodness
All over my life, all over my life
I see Your promises in fulfillment
All over my life, all over my life
I see the evidence of Your goodness
All over my life, all over my life
I see Your promises in fulfillment
All over my life, all over my life
Why should I fear
The evidence is here
Why should I fear
The evidence is here

Living Proof by David and Nicole Binion

Something marvelous happened to me
I was a prisoner, Your love broke me free
I was blind in unbelief and You made me see
Hallelujah, hallelujah

I am living proof
My God is on the move
There’s nothing that He can’t do
Faith rise up! Faith rise up!

Something scandalous happened to me
I was a criminal, Your blood washed me clean
I was destined for the grave but You rose for me
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Now I am living proof
My God is on the move
There’s nothing that He can’t do
Faith rise up! Faith rise up!
I am living proof
My God is on the move
There’s nothing that He can’t do
Faith rise up! Faith rise up!

I am a walking, talking, living, breathing, hallelujah
Jesus saved me, freed me, He’s still moving, hallelujah
For I am a walking, talking, living, breathing, hallelujah
Jesus saved me, freed me, He’s still moving, hallelujah

I am evidence that my God is real
I am a miracle, my heart has been healed
Come and witness for yourself, He is revealed
Hallelujah, hallelujah

Rest On Us by Upperroom

As the Spirit was moving over the waters
Spirit, come move over us
Come rest on us
Come rest on us
As the Spirit was moving over the waters
Spirit, come move over us
Come rest on us
Come rest on us

Come down
Spirit, when You move You make my heart pound
When You fill the room
You’re here and I know You are moving
I’m here and I know You will fill me
Come down
Spirit, when You move You make my heart pound
When You fill the room
You’re here and I know You are moving
I’m here and I know You will fill me
We honor You, Holy Spirit

Fire and wind, come and do it again
Open up the gates, let heaven on in
Come rest on us
Come rest on us
And fire and wind, come and do it again
Open up the gates, let heaven on in
Come rest on us
Come rest on usAnd come down
Spirit, when You move You make my heart pound
When You fill the room
You’re here and I know You are moving
I’m here and I know You will fill me
Come down
Spirit, when You move You make my heart pound
When You fill the room
You’re here and I know You are moving
I’m here and I know You will fill me

Promises by Maverick City Music

God of Abraham
You’re the God of covenant and faithful promises
Time and time again
You have proven
You’ll do just what You said

Though the storms may come
And the winds may blow, I’ll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn when You speak a word
It will come to pass

Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness to me
From the rising sun to the setting same
I will praise Your name
Great is Your faithfulness to me

God from age to age
Though the earth may pass away
Your word remains the same, yeah
Your history can prove
There’s nothing You can’t do
You’re faithful and true

Though the storms may come
And the winds may blow, I’ll remain steadfast
And let my heart learn when You speak a word, it will come to pass

Great is Your faithfulness to me
Great is Your faithfulness, from the rising sun
From the rising sun to the setting same
I will praise Your Name
Great is Your faithfulness to me

Your faithfulness
It never runs out, it never runs out
Your faithfulness
It never runs out, it never runs out
It never runs out, it never runs out

I put my faith in Jesus
My anchor to the ground
My hope and firm foundation
He’ll never let me down

I put my faith in Jesus
My anchor to the ground
He’s my hope and firm foundation
He’ll never let me down
My hope and firm foundation (my only hope, my only hope)
He’ll never let me down

I love hymns just as much as I love the songs I’ve mentioned in this post. I’ll be sharing my favorite hymns in my next Friday Favorites post. What are some of your favorite worship songs?
