Celebrating Mother’s Day

Today was so special. Words cannot express how blessed I am to be surrounded by so many amazing people. My precious babies that made me a mama, my incredible husband, my best friends, and my mom made this day so special for me. Above all else, I am so incredibly thankful that God saw me fit to be a mom. He allowed my body to carry children and knit them together in my womb. All the days ordained for them were written in His book before any of them came to be.

Jordan and I invited our moms to go to church with us this morning and we had them each a gift. Putting gifts together for the ones I love is my all-time favorite hobby. After the church service, me and the kids treated my mom to lunch.

After we finished eating, we came home and Klara told me to go relax in the hammock while she made me a “fancy” drink. She brought out a blanket and a strawberry lemonade with watermelon around the rim of the cup then asked if she could give me a foot massage while I relaxed. Once I got out of the hammock, I walked in to a clean living room! She had cleaned and perfectly arranged all of my throw pillows on the couch. There’s just something about her selflessness that melts my heart.

Not only was I treated like a queen, but I was also showered with gifts. My mom had the most beautiful flowers delivered yesterday and Jordan and the kids got me a Nespresso machine and Nespresso pods, a faux Hearth and Hand Ficus tree, the cutest basket to sit the tree inside of, and two shelves from Target that I’ve been wanting for so long!

“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’” – Proverbs 31:28-31

Happy Mother’s Day to every mom. To every mom in every stage of motherhood. To the mom who has lost a child, to the mom who is parenting alone, to those who are praying to become a mom, and to those who are missing their own mother.
