February Favorites and Welcoming March

February came and went and before I knew it, we were moving in to March! Today I’m going to share some of my favorite moments from February and what we’ve been up to recently.

This event was held the last 3 days of February, but it is my absolute favorite thing about the entire month so I want to share it first. Kylan was blessed with the opportunity to attend the Wild Ones Conference in Chattanooga with our church youth and young adults. I paid to watch the conference on live stream and it was life changing. Maverick City Music, Robert Madu, Deven and Kevin Wallace were all incredible.

Also in February, Kylan played some of the best basketball he’s ever played. His love and dedication for basketball is out of this world.

Valentine’s Day is one of my favorite holidays to celebrate with my family. I love that it fell on the weekend this year. We had a slow morning with our traditional pancake breakfast and spent the morning eating chocolate.

I put together this simple movie night gift for our friends and we left it on their doorstep. If there’s one thing my kids remember from their childhood, I hope it’s that Jordan and I have taught them to serve others. Whether it’s through prayer, cooking them dinner or washing their feet as a sign of humility, I want them to live their lives blessing others.

We celebrated Koby’s birthday by taking him and his friend, Noah, out for pizza and to a movie. We saw Tom and Jerry.

Kylan was away at the conference that weekend, but we celebrated with chocolate caramel birthday cake and cards full of money on their “actual” birthday.

I went to my mom’s and we looked through my papaw’s old pictures. Losing him in February was too much to bear for awhile. Without prayer and an awesome support system, I’m not sure how long I would have laid in bed and cried. Looking though his photos helped heal my heart in so many ways.

In the Classroom

We celebrated 100 Days of School on February 3rd. It’s always so much fun to see the kids dress up like they’re 100 years old.

We done lots of Valentine’s Day activities throughout the month.

March

March is already here and Kylan finally got his braces put on.

We have some friends, who I’m sure I’ve talked about before time and time again because they bless our lives tremendously, and they have finally started their Bible studies back up and our boys LIVE for them. They open up their home to middle school aged kiddos and young adults, serve them dinner, and teach them about our Savior. My mama heart burst with happiness when they sent me these powerful photos. Worship and prayer are so mighty and to see my boys experiencing God’s presence is priceless.

In the Classroom

Even though we’re only a few days into March, we have had a lot of fun in the classroom! I love Dr. Seuss week. We have been doing so many fun activities and each grade is decorated as a different Dr. Seuss book.

What have been some of your favorite things lately?
