LIFE LATELY AND FALL BREAK

October is my favorite month so I’ve been trying to enjoy every minute of it with my family and friends.

I love fall and Halloween. I decorated for fall in August and put up all of our Halloween decor in September. I’ve changed things around a hundred times and there are still a few little things I want to do, but this is a peek at what we have going on so far. I caught a sale on Bath & Body Works candles and found our indoor plastic pumpkin at Lowes. The outdoor pillows were at Wal-Mart for just $5 a piece.

Tis the season for all things pumpkin! We’ve baked pumpkin cinnamon rolls, we’ve made pumpkin pancakes, and pumpkin and chocolate chip muffins. We’ve had pumpkin coffee, pumpkin cream cheese with our bagels, and pumpkin bread.

We’ve also had chili, soups, and casseroles for dinner. I love me some fall comfort foods.

We have done so many exciting things so far this month. My coworker just got married so me and Klara went to her bridal shower last weekend. Wedding festivities are always a lot of fun.

On Friday, Jordan took the day off and we went to Asheville for the day. The main reason we love going is because the closest Trader Joe’s to us is in Asheville so we usually try to make a day trip out of it. We loaded up the coolers, stopped by Dunkin Donuts for breakfast, and headed to over the mountains to North Carolina.

The drive to Asheville was so beautiful where the leaves have started to change colors.

The first thing we did was go to Home Goods and TJ Maxx. We went to the Asheville Outlets and then stopped for ice before we went to Trader Joe’s.

After we loaded up our groceries we went to Duck Donuts. We fell in LOVE with Duck Donuts in the Outer Banks, so when I realized there were other locations, it was definitely on our to-do list.

We took our groceries home, played with the puppies, and went out to dinner.

On Saturday, me and Jordan went to my friend Stacie’s wedding. It was raining all day, but stopped long enough for them to take some beautiful wedding photos. We were so happy to celebrate Stacie and Thomas.

While me and Jordan went to the wedding, our kiddos stayed with their Mema and Dinky. Klara baked cookies and made chexmix with Mema and is still talking about how much fun she had.

We have a surprise Halloween party planned for our kiddos with some of our sweet friends. In my next post I’ll share what I’ve bought, how I decorate, and the fun games I have planned.
