BACK TO WORK CLOTHING HAUL AND WORK BAG ESSENTIALS

After being home for 5 months, I started back to work last week for optional teacher workdays. Pre-service started on Thursday and goes through next Wednesday. Thursday will be the first day for students, but our kiddos won’t be there until the following week because Pre-K does things a little differently. In today’s post I’ll be sharing my back to work clothing haul and sharing what I am keeping in my lunch box, work bag, and purse this school year.

There are several teachers, especially teachers in special education and Pre-K, that have decided to wear scrubs each day. I have ordered a few pairs, but still want to share my other outfits with you. I bought several things from Old Navy, Maurices, and Target.

Outfit 1

This shirt, the leggings, and shoes all came from Old Navy. I love the red shirt with the black leggings, but I think the moccasins top this outfit off.

Outfit 2

I ordered this white top from Maurices to go with the bengaline cropped pants, also from Maurices. The pants are such a pretty color! I didn’t picture shoes for this outfit because the shoes I plan on wearing weren’t a part of this clothing haul.

Outfit 3

I love this pullover from Maurices. I ordered three pairs of black leggings from Old Navy and plan to wear one pair with this top. Again, I didn’t picture shoes for this outfit, but I plan on wearing my black flats I bought from Target last year.

Outfit 4

I bought this black top from Maurices to go with these CUTE paperbag pants that I ordered from Amazon. These pants are so comfortable that I’m thinking about ordering them in a few more colors. The sandals came from Old Navy. I typically wear a size 8-8.5, but decided to size up to a 9 because I have wide feet. I am so glad I did because these fit perfectly.

Outfit 5

This sweater is from Target and I’ll be wearing it over this cute jumpsuit that came from Old Navy. I’m going to wear these gladiator sandals with this outfit. I ordered a size 9 in these as well. I have a pendant necklace that will go great with this look.

Outfit 6

This is a more comfortable, relaxed look. I ordered this shirt from etsy.com and will be wearing it with another pair of black leggings from Old Navy. The sandals are from Target. We won’t have students in the classroom on Friday’s because our re-opening plan states that school be in session Monday thru Thursday, with Friday being virtual learning. I will still be in the school building doing some work each week, so this will be the perfect Friday outfit.

I also got another plain black shirt from Maurices to go with several pairs of pants that I already have. I have a pair of mustard, maroon, purple, and olive green pants that I’ve worn before.

MY LUNCHBOX

Every year I get a new Fit and Fresh lunchbox. I love that they come with bowls and a side pocket to put your drink.

Some of my go-to lunches include tuna, quinoa and sweet potatoes, Good Thins and hummus, tortilla chips and guacamole, a salad, a Trader Joe’s muffin, or a rice cake with almond butter or Nutella. I usually have a bag of veggie straws, some kind of fruit, and a yogurt. I always keep a Verb bar in my front pocket. I always carry my water bottle, but with my lunch I usually have one of V8’s hydrate drinks. They have so many flavors and they’re all delicious!

IN MY WORK BAG

In my work bag I’ll be carrying my computer, an extra phone charger, my planner, my favorite flair pens, chapstick, extra masks, hand sanitizer, hand wipes, gloves, tissues, snacks, my water bottle, and a few plastic bags for my used masks, clothes, or shoes. I will also keep my apron in my work bag. My new coworkers had a great idea to order aprons that wrap around our waists that have several pockets. We’re going to keep gloves, extra masks, hand sanitizer, etc. in the pockets for easy access throughout the day. My work badge will stay in this bag as well.

IN MY PURSE

I haven’t added anything new to my purse, but now that I’m starting back to work it will be used daily. I have my wallet, my keys, a bag for my makeup, my glasses, another bag for feminine products, sunscreen, tylenol, a Tide pen, an umbrella, a mini first aid kit, deodorant, and I always have gum or mints on hand. I have a back zipper on my purse where I keep the kids extra masks, some extra gloves, and another pack of Wet Ones.

What’s in your work bag?
