APPOINTMENTS AND UPDATES

Yesterday was such a busy day for us. The boys needed haircuts, Kylan had his yearly physical, and I had an appointment at the dermatologist. I tried to vlog throughout the day because it’s been so long since I made a video for YouTube, but I have always had issues with my audio being out of sync with the video and it’s SO FRUSTRATING. That’s why I try to stick to voice overs, but the content just isn’t as interesting if every video you make consists of voice overs and music. I edited and uploaded the video anyways and you can see it here.

The first thing I did yesterday morning was take the puppies outside. I filmed the intro to my video and made a cup of coffee.

I know I’ve said it before, but I’ll say it again. I love having breakfast (and lunch, annnnd dinner) out on our patio.

In a small portion of the video I shared a quick ‘get ready with me’ where I shared my current favorite makeup products.

I had to stop for gas and we went to the barber shop.

After the boys had their hair cut, we had to go to the pediatrician for Kylan’s yearly physical. The doctor did a thorough examination and asked lots of questions. He spent at least 30 minutes in the room with us, going above and beyond to ensure Kylan was healthy. Before we left the office, we stopped by the lab for them to check his urine. The nurse told us she would call with results and that we were free to go.

We were pulling into Panera to pick up some food when my phone rang. It was the nurse calling to let us know that Kylan’s blood pressure was extremely elevated and that there were large amounts of protein in his urine samples. They scheduled a follow up appointment in 14 days.

We picked up our Panera order and ate in the car when we got to my appointment. Kylan loves their salads and fruit cups, Koby loves their chocolate croissants and the bacon from my sandwich, and Klara loves their roasted turkey avocado BLT sandwich and their green passion smoothies, just like her mama.

At my appointment the dermatologist done a biopsy. There was much more to the procedure than I had thought. The local anesthetic was painful and I had NO IDEA I would be leaving the appointment with stitches.

The dermatologist seemed to think I was experiencing some type of allergy, but that the biopsy results would confirm what our next steps would be. It will take 7 to 10 days to receive the results.

When we got home I made some gnocchi, roasted vegetables, and sliced an avocado for dinner and we ate on the patio while I finished up the vlog.
