Halloween Festivities

October brought a lot of rain, a lot of festivities, and so much candy!EventsI briefly mentioned it in my last post, but we started off Halloween month with Zombie paintball, a pumpkin patch, and a haunted house. We had our traditional Halloween baking challenge. Obviously I couldn’t pick just one winner, so there were three champions again this year.We attended our schools Halloween Bash, had homemade meatball vegetable soup while we watched Hocus Pocus and painted pumpkins. Kylan opted out of painting/carving pumpkins this year because ya know, once you hit middle school apparently you’re too cool. Klara painted a unicorn pumpkin and Koby chose a Mario pumpkin!Trick or treating was postponed in our area because of nasty weather. Rain, thunderstorms, and we were even under a tornado watch during the school day. There were local trunk or treats and some events were moved indoors, but we chose to stay home with the kiddos and we had candy apples and watched Halloween movies.Saturday night, November 2, is when we went trick or treating. Kylan went to his friends house and they went trick or treating with his family while Jordan and I took Klara and Koby.CostumesKlara was a vampireKoby was MarioKylan kinda dressed up 🙄Jordan’s department at work dressed up as the Wizard of Oz. Jordan dressed up as the tin man and his department won second place in the costume contest.I didn’t dress up this year, but I lived in this Hocus Pocus sweatshirt all month long.Home DecorFor Halloween morning I decorated the house with black balloons and caution tape on every doorway. What are your favorite Halloween traditions?
