Life Lately

In the classroom

We have been busy in Pre-K!

We finished up our Family and Friends unit. We read lots of fun stories and learned about the letter A.

Last week our unit was Staying Healthy. On Monday we discussed germs and what we can do to stay healthy. On Tuesday, we talked about the importance of dental check ups and brushing our teeth. Wedneday was about nutrition and healthy eating habits. On Thursday we talked about going to the doctor and why it’s important to have routine check ups. Friday we talked about exercise and what we can do to keep our bodies healthy and strong. We even watched The Magic School Bus!

Last week we also learned about the letter Bb and had our first sight word, I.

We are still working on name recognition.

I have my small groups put together and have so many fun activities planned. Our daughters teacher gave me so much stuff to incorporate into my small groups and I am so excited to put it all to use.

My next project is going to be making a Mr. Munch for letter recognition practice and beginning sounds.

At home

This month has been full of family fun! We have celebrated Mema’s birthday, Papaw’s birthday, football games, and just simply living the best life we can. I wouldn’t trade our fast paced weekday mornings, our family movie nights, our slow Saturday mornings, our Wednesday evening church services, and all of the hugs and kisses for anything in the world.
