Friday Favorites

Happy weekend everyone! I’m a little late with this post because it has been a busy week. Running errands for Pre-K (dropping off papers at the pediatrician, making copies, getting a copy of Klara’s birth certificate, going to her screenings, getting documents for registration, etc.) our counseling appointment and dinner date at Panera, free movie Wednesday with the kiddos, mountains of laundry to get done, cleaning, completing dozens of job applications and, ahem, going to my first interview in over 6 years (more on that later!) 😀

I have rounded up some of my favorite things for today’s post.

Trisha Yearwood’s Southern Kitchen. I am obsessed. The DVR is set to record it every time it comes on. What I love the most (besides that she’s Trisha Yearwood, duh) is that every dish she makes is realistic, affordable, and something my family would love. Check out Garth’s taco pizza recipe. You won’t be sorry!

Girl, Wash Your Face. I can’t get enough of Rachel Hollis. This is one of my absolute favorite books. Her sense of humor and her religious beliefs keep me completely engaged.

A Simplified Life. Emily Ley is extraordinary. This book has made an appearance in some of my other posts simply because I cannot get enough of it. She has so many great ideas and the photos are gorgeous.

Carnation Breakfast Essentials. The past few weeks I have had a constant stomachache and no appetite, especially for breakfast. All week I woke up and made muffins and bacon, eggs, oatmeal or toast for the kids but the thought of eating has literally been making my stomach churn. Since I haven’t felt like a meal, I have been making these breakfast drinks. They are so good!

Coconut Curls creamy mousse and styling milk. These are my new absolute favorite hair products. I used to have spiral curly hair growing up, but put so many chemicals put on it because I wanted permanently straight hair. Over the years it just grew frizzy, dry, and damaged. Luckily for the past year or so my curls have been coming back so I have been trying different products in search for a brand that won’t weigh down my curls or leave a sticky film on my clean hair. After I shower, I comb my hair and use my fingers to apply the mousse. I get dressed, then I apply the styling milk.

It smells sooo good and leaves my curls soft and shiny.

PS Cosmeceutical polish. This nail polish is such a fun, summertime color. What I love most about this brand is that it doesn’t contain 10 harsh chemicals that most nail polishes do.

International Delight Southern Butter Pecan coffee creamer. Oh, be still my southern heart. I love all things butter pecan. I even made butter pecan cupcakes this week. I have been using almond milk in my coffee as a healthier alternative, but couldn’t pass up my favorite creamer when I found it at Kroger.

Caitlyn Neier. I’ve came across this lifestyle and motherhood YouTuber and can’t stop watching her videos! Y’all should check her out.
