Birthday Weekend

On Friday evening my husband took me out to celebrate my birthday! I wore this olive green top from Old Navy (that I love so much that I bought the same top in black) with these black distressed sweatpants. Yep, sweatpants.

Our first stop was to Red Lobster for dinner. My favorite meal on the planet is their tilapia tacos with a side of rice, their mozzarella and tomato caprese, cheddar biscuits, and a strawberry lemonade.

After dinner we headed to Kingsport to go to Ben Franklin’s for vinyl and some shirts. A Cricut addicts and every teachers happy place.

We went to Books A Million and I bought some books I have been wanting for a while. Girl Wash Your Face and Emily Ley’s A Simplified Life. In all honesty, I could spend every dime I have in BAM. It’s even worse than going to Target.

After strolling through BAM for an hour or more, we refueled with Sweet Frog!

We picked up our babies from Jordan’s parents and came home.

On Sunday, Jordan had a birthday party for me and it was such a great time. He woke up early and spent the whole morning making a cake from scratch- the entire thing, even the icing!

He made hot dogs, homemade potato salad, and we had chips and cole slaw. It was delicious, but his cake and ice cream topped it all.

Jordan’s mom, nana, and aunt are extraordinary. Their presence and their presents are always the best. I married into the best family that anyone could ever dream of having.

That evening Jordan’s sister came and picked me up and treated me to a spray tan.

Turning 28 has been such a blessing. I have reflected on all of the things I have done, all of the experiences I have had, things that I have learned, and all of the mountains God has moved in these 28 years. There is so much to be grateful for, friends. I hope you have a great week!
