We picked up our rental car, a Jeep Renegade, on Tuesday night and left at 5 a.m. the next morning. We stopped for breakfast in Salem, Virginia and made it to Fulton by 11:40.

We were so happy to see everyone! This was the first time my husband met my aunt’s husband, Chris, so it was a special visit. The kids were so excited to see their cousin, Aaron! When we arrived we went upstairs and opened gifts.

That night we ordered pizza for dinner from NY Pizza in Scaggsville. It was the best pizza I have ever had! A large cheese pizza for the kids and another large, half pepperoni half supreme. šŸ•

The next morning my aunt picked up breakfast sandwiches from Maple Lawn Deli. I had bacon, egg, lettuce, and tomato on a croissant and Jordan had the same thing except on white bread and with a side of fried breakfast potatoes.

That day we went to Arundel Mills and shopped before our dinner reservation at Medieval Times. The mall was incredible! If you visit the area, it is a must-see.

The dinner and show was so much fun! Once you enter the kingdom you are given a crown. There were several different teams, but we were a part of the black and white team. There was a knight to represent each group and your job is to cheer for your knight. When dinner is served, you eat with your hands just as they did in those medieval times while you enjoy the show. They served garlic toast, tomato bisque soup, roasted chicken, sweet buttered corn, herb-based potatoes, and a slice of cake. You receive two rounds of your beverage of choice as well. The food was extraordinary!

If your knight continued on to the next round, he would receive flowers from the princess and throw them into the audience. Klara was so excited when he tossed one to her!

It was such an incredible opportunity and we all enjoyed every minute of it. If you haven’t been to a Medieval Times show, I highly recommend it.

The next day we went to Baltimore and visited the National Aquarium.

All of the kids touched a jellyfish and saw hundreds of different fish, sharks, stingrays, and so much more! While we were there we saw a short 4D showing of Rudolph. It was magical! Our three year old, Klara, was completely at awe when the chairs moved, when wind blew threw her hair, and when snow fell on us as it did in the movie. It was one of my favorite parts of the entire vacation!

After the aquarium we walked to Dick’s Last Resort for dinner. Probably not the most kid appropriate place for dining in, but we had a blast! Kylan, Koby, Aaron, and Jordan all had chicken tenders. My aunt had a Philly cheese steak sandwich, and Klara and I split an order of nachos.

When we got back to the house we had Grinch night. We usually do it before Christmas, but we wanted Aaron to be a part of it so we held off until we visited him!

The next morning we woke up to snow! We loaded up the car and traveled home. Once the kids got hungry, we stopped for dinner at Bellecinos. We ordered a large pizza and had some fries.

We had so much fun on our visit and can’t wait to do it again soon! Have you ever visited the Washington or Baltimore area? If so, what are some of your favorite things to do, some of your favorite places to see, or your favorite places to eat?
